Hi! I am the founder and owner of Emerald + Shea. To start, here's a little bit about me, and you can read more to learn about Emerald + Shea and why we choose to support Caring for Cambodia!
- Sushi and ramen are my favorite food. I could eat them both, all day, everyday.
- My favorite places I have visited to date are (1) Florence, Italy (2) Siem Reap, Cambodia, and (3) Sapa, Vietnam.
Japan would also make the list, but the majority of my family lives there, so there is a sense of "going home" rather than visiting whenever I go.
- My favorite color is blush pink, lavender or dusty blue - you might be able to tell by my earring designs
- I am in my late 20's and still obsessed with Hello Kitty. My mom still brings me something Hello Kitty every time she comes back to the States

Emerald + Shea
Founded in 2016 and based out of Austin, TX. We specialize in hand-making earrings, pre-designing gift boxes and curating goods from around the world.
While working in Finance, I sought for a creative outlet. I convinced myself that I could make my own jewelry... then I got really into sending my friends "care packages" because, let's face it, being an adult is hard! After a while, the idea for Emerald + Shea became a reality, and I'm so excited I get to share it with the world.
Read on to learn what the profits benefit and why I chose to keep Emerald + Shea running as I pivot my career path from Finance to Education.
Caring for cambodia
In March 2017, I visited Siem Reap, Cambodia for the first time and had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Caring for Cambodia ("CFC"). The interaction with the students, teachers, staff and general city was so impactful, I decided to return for the rest of 2017 to continue volunteering.
Cambodia and CFC will forever hold a place in my heart, and I could not imagine running this business without paying it forward. Click the link below to shop product that will support CFC's efforts in Siem Reap.
So... 5% of every jewelry piece sold will be donated to Caring for Cambodia at the end of each quarter. Some months, we will run collection campaigns to support their supply needs. In February 2018, we were able to donate over 400 toothbrushes and over 200 tubes of travel toothpaste all through our sales as well as generous donations from customers and friends!
Help me, continue the good work while treating yourself to a pair of new earrings!
